Introductions...late in the planting season

My first post comes a bit late in the planting season for this year. Most small gardeners are or very soon will be harvesting what they have grown for the year, are planning their fall plantings, and gathering supplies and saving seeds for next year.

Well, I am doing two of those things at the moment. Seed saving and harvesting the *small* bounty my garden has produced this year. By small, I mean a few handfuls of certain fruits/veggies.

In previous years, I had stuck to container gardening, and expanded only this year to an actual plot of land in my backyard that took me a good week to dig, rototill and prepare this spring.

below are pictures of the garden in its infancy, in its prime and then waning for this fall/winter.

I may even plant some Red Sails Lettuce seeds tomorrow for fall... hmm... better get going on that then!
